Even if you’ve heard of Atelier Iris, you probably can’t pronounce it. It’s easy to understand for what purpose NIS America is taking a chance with this strategy-RPG, though: Iris mingles the beautiful, manga-inspired art and quirky characters of Phantom Brave with old-school Zelda-style prison s and a Final Fantasy X–like turn-based battle method A complex alchemy system could scare RPG newbies away, though: You’ll have to carefully mix bring togethered mana in order to create of the present day skills and equipment, all of which can be used in vividly animated battle successions While Iris’ name may be a tongue twister, its action is all about saving the world through kicking ass in style—something anyone can appreciate.
